A few words from our 2020 Go Big Rally Event Host

Rob Nye

My name is Rob, and I am delighted to be your host for the 2020 GSG Rally.
In my travels I have mentioned that should the Giants come to New England I would roll out the red carpet.  Thanks to the Board, I can do just that.

In New England, we have a lot of rocks.  We also have plenty of Lobster, so we’re going to call this rally Rock Lobster and have a New England style lobster bake Saturday, August 8, 2020.

The rally will be in Western Ct on a private 350-acre site that straddles the border of Massachusetts.  There are miles of trails on the property, a swimming hole, dining hall for 200+, bunkhouses and plenty of great places to pitch a tent or hang a hammock.  Off property, the historic roads of Vermont, New Hampshire, the trans-MA trail and the upcoming North East Back Road Discovery Route are in easy reach.  There will be off property routes offered as complete GPX files for varying degrees of difficulty;  some trails on the property will be graded the same was the GPX files to provide riders an insight as to how easy or hard any off-site ride may be.

I invite you to come early and stay late.  There is a complete library of GPX files available with great rides to great places that highlight the best of New England and the history of Colonial America.  We may be offering a multi-day scavenger hunt before the rally which will take much of the guesswork out of how to have an excellent time east of the Hudson River.

I hope you will join us at Rock Lobster on August 6-9, 2020.   It’s going to be a great time. You can contact me at rob.nye@gmail.com

Let's all welcome, our new Social Media Director

Dimitrios Tournas - President

We are delighted to announce that Sarah Howard has accepted the role of the GS Giants Social Media Director, effective immediately. Sarah is one of our newest GS Giants and one of the most enthusiastic people we have ever met! She will be responsible for the Instagram and Facebook Page content (promoted and organic), and eventually for the Monthly Newsletter. But she doesn't know that yet... :)

We asked Sarah to tell us a little bit about herself:

"Hey, Giants! I’m super excited to be a part of such an amazing group and take the lead on our social media.

I am purchasing my first GS F650 the weekend of Ribfest this year but I started riding on a Yamaha XT225. I’m from Cincinnati, Ohio and own a medical massage therapy practice.  I love the hard challenging trails and everyone in the GS community.  Fun fact about me - I am training to compete for the 2021 GS qualifier which is also my 40th birthday!"

Welcome Sarah, we're also very excited to have you on board!
